Knowledge Is Not Enough!

There is time for every thing under the sun and this too implies to the issue of knowledge. Love and relationship will never find balance if knowledge is absent but the truth is this; KNOWLEDGE IS NOT ENOUGH. I have seen people who had so much knowledge yet failed in the same area of what they knew. Knowledge has its own diversities and all of them can be available but not needed. Don’t be too conscious of the desire to gain knowledge so much that you begin to loose, the consciousness of who you are in Christ. There are limits to the kind of knowledge we expose ourselves to because our identity is specific in nature.

Wrong knowledge is even more dangerous that ignorance and half knowledge are more frustrating than ignorance. In life, love, and relationship, you must understand that there is wrong knowledge about relationship and there is a right knowledge about relationships. The wrong and the right knowledge look appealing to the eyes and the intellectual capacity. What is the right knowledge? The right knowledge is the Truth (God’s perspective) about your life, and relationship. You can only get this kind of knowledge from the Word of God and from your personal relationship with the Lord.

It’s okay that you know the details about your purpose, vision, values, priority, and what God created you to do. The really question now is, do you really understand any of these things you know? It’s okay that you know that you love this person but do you really understand what you love about this person? It’s okay that you know you have feelings and interest in this person but do you really understand this feelings and interest? These are questions you need to answer you self.

Proverbs 4:7 revealed to us that gaining understanding will be costly but the scripture still insisted that we get understanding. In my own words; GET UNDERSTANDING. Theological knowledge will not take you far. Ideas alone will not help you. It is time for you to gain understanding about your life, about you relationship and about where God is taking you to in life. Don’t live your life in confusion.

Knowledge is not enough; clarity is needed. You must be able to understand the specification and pattern that are attached to the things the Lord has told you about you and your future. You must have the clarity about the way the Lord wants you to date and operate in your relationship. You must live your life according to PATTERN. This PATTERN must be in the understanding of the knowledge you have about God’s plan for you. You must be ready to date according to the PATTERN of Gods operation in your life.

I know you love this man/lady but you must understand how this person has being designed to be loved. You must understand how God has wired you to be loved. You must understand how God has designed you to function. You need to understand love and relationship from his/her point of view. You need to understand love and relationship from God’s perspective concerning your life. Don’t just walk in knowledge; you must also walk in the understanding of what you know from the Lord.

Knowledge is all about the “what” but without the understanding “how,” you will continuously live in frustration. Many youths break up in relationship because they don’t know how to love the other person according to how God wired them to be loved. There is a difference between you loving some one and the other person feeling love by you. It’s not about how sincere you are, it’s not how truthful you are, and it’s not how many sacrifices you’ve made. It’s about you doing all these not just in knowledge alone but in understanding. It’ about loving some one with the understanding of who you are in Christ. It’s about loving some one with the understanding you have about this person. It’s about giving with the right understanding and for the right reason.

Knowledge is in you knowing the right person to love but understanding is in you having the clarity about how to love this person. Understanding is FREEDOM, freedom to see things from other people’s point of view and still feel secure. Freedom is in you making other people to see your point of view without you forcing them or imposing your will on them.

Knowledge is not enough; GET UNDERSTANDING.

Remember this; John 15:5 and Matthew 11:28-29.

There is still HOPE for you in Christ Jesus.

Watch out for my post "Desire Is Not Enough."

Thanks.

Yours Sincerely

Prince Victor Matthew

For Christian youths, this process involves unlearning old habits, relearning God’s truth about relationships, and opening your heart to love again. Here are 25 specific ways to navigate this journey. Acknowledge the reality of the situation. The first step in unlearning is to face the truth about your previous relationship. Admit to yourself that you were settling for less, and recognize the patterns and behaviors that led you there. This honesty is crucial for your healing. Allow yourself to grieve. It’s okay to feel sad, angry, or even confused after a breakup. Don’t rush through these emotions. Give yourself the space to grieve the relationship and the dreams you had for it. How to Stop Settling for Less in Dating Relationship - Part 6 (Final Part)

In the world of relationships, it’s easy to focus on whether we’re settling for less, but what about the other side of the coin? As Christian youths, we must also consider whether we’re unintentionally causing someone else to settle for less by dating us. Relationships are meant to be mutual, uplifting, and Christ-centered. If we’re not careful, our actions, words, or even our approach to dating could cause someone else to compromise their values or settle for something less than God’s best. Here’s how you can avoid putting someone in that position. First, it’s important to be honest with yourself about your intentions. Before you enter into a relationship, ask yourself why you want to date this person. Are you genuinely interested in them, or are you just trying to fill a void, combat loneliness, or conform to societal pressure? If your motivations aren’t pure, you might end up leading someone on, making them believe the relationship has more potential than it actually does. Pray for ...

ARE YOU READY FOR PREMARITAL RELATIONSHIP?

In every premarital relationship, one of the clearest signs that you are emotionally and spiritually ready is your ability to take responsibility for your actions. Self-responsibility is not just a sign of maturity; it is proof that you are willing to grow, learn, and protect what matters to you. As a youth preparing for a future in marriage, this is not the time to always look for who to blame or pretend you're always right. This is the time to develop character and humility. When you constantly shift blame to your partner or become defensive each time correction or misunderstanding arises, you are indirectly saying, “I am not ready for commitment.” Love may bring two people together, but maturity keeps them growing together. A relationship where no one takes responsibility becomes toxic, exhausting, and frustrating. Can you imagine trying to build something meaningful with someone who never admits their wrong? That’s not love. That’s pride in disguise. Many young people think lov...
